ABSENTEE VOTING - MARCH 6, 2012 PRIMARY ELECTION
The Fairfield County Board of Elections will begin mailing absentee voter ballots on Tuesday, January 31, to those voters who have already submitted a valid request for an absentee voter ballot. Please be patient - we will be sending ballots to everyone that requested them, and ballots will be mailed in the order in which the absentee ballot application was received and processed. THE DEADLINE TO REQUEST AN ABSENTEE BALLOT BE MAILED FOR THE MARCH 6, 2012 PRIMARY ELECTION IS 12:00 NOON ON SATURDAY, MARCH 3.
IN-PERSON ABSENTEE VOTING for the primary will also begin Tuesday, January 31 at the Board of Elections office at 951 Liberty Drive, Lancaster, Ohio. Please be prepared to provide valid identification information in order to vote absentee in-person. In-person absentee voting hours will be 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday until Thursday, March 1 and from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm on Friday March 2.
PUBLIC RECORDS LAW TRAINING
On March 5, 2012 The city of Lancaster will be hosting a training session on Public Records law provided by the Ohio Auditor's office at the Liberty Center. This training satisfies R.C. 149.43 (E)(1) which requires all elected officials, or their appropriate designees, to attend public records training that is approved by the Attorney General during each term they serve.
