Polling locations do change on occasion; this is frequently beyond the control of the board of elections. For example, any of the following reasons (and many more) may cause a polling location to change:

  1. The facility may inform the board of elections that it may no longer be used as a polling location.
  2. Precincts may be added or removed within the county, or boundary lines may change, affecting the number of registered voters in specific precincts.
  3. Changes in the law also may cause precincts to change location such as ADA restrictions, which allows handicapped people ease of access.
  4. There are many other factors that could effect polling location changes.

Polling locations are only changed when absolutely necessary.
